KET: Reading and Writing

PRACTICE KET!

This is the first part of reading and writing section. You have to match 5 sentences to 8 notices.

Exam Tip

1) read all the questions and notices first.

2) look for words that mean the same thing. For example: 'do not pay' = 'free', 'leave their car' = 'parking', 'bags' = 'luggage'. This will help you choose an answer.

Choose the best word for each sentence.

Exam Tip

When you do Part 2 tests like this look for words that go together. For example, 'to go by (plane/car/bus) and 'guided tour'. Words that go together like this are called 'collocations' and there are lots and lots of them in English. Try to learn groups of words or collocations during your studies, not just words on their own.
